About IT Dashboard

The IT dashboard is an online solution that provides IT value through visibility and control. The solution gives a holistic view of business IT activities including; problem management, budget management, risk management, as well as project and programme management. In providing grater visibility of IT this facilitates the demonstration of IT value.

The solution is aimed at small to medium sized teams within any size and type of business. It is most suited to teams that have a requirement to report on IT activities to senior management and who have to prove their commitment to providing value to the business whilst employing strong IT governance.

Although the solution makes use of a shared service, it is completely customisable so that you are able to effectively and efficiently represent your organisation. The customisation elements range from categories to currency to budget periods.

As well as being customisable, the solution is also extremely secure, making use of an encrypted connection as well as best practice secure coding techniques.

The service is provided through a subscription model payable on a monthly or a reduced rate annual basis, with an initial free trial period with the option to cancel at any time.

IT Dashboard is run by a team who all have extensive experience of running large scale IT organisation using ITIL and PRINCE2 methodologies.

IT Dashboard therefore provides a cost effective way of facilitating the implementation of IT Governance and demonstrating the value and effectiveness of IT, ensuring the business has clear visibility of IT and its operations.

IT Dashboard version

The current version of The IT Dashboard is 3.05. This version was released on 19th August 2009. The main enhancements to this version were to added better CMS functionality to the code

We are currently working on several minor releases for August before coding the CMDB functionality, starting in early September. The CMDB module will represent version 4.0 of the product. So far the basic data model and logic flow has been designed, all that needs to be done now is do the coding

So far the product has had the following releases:

  • 3.02 - added JavaScript form functionality, resolved various IE8 issues

  • 2.00 - risk management, SEO, enhanced features page, updated site-map
  • 1.00 - budget mgt, problem mgt, proj mgt, payment, dashboard, SEO, whitepapers
